YOUTH PROGRAMS
TDSB Youth Program
SPC is thrilled to continue its strong partnership with Carleton Village Sport & Wellness Academy (formerly Carleton Village Junior & Senior Public School) and the Toronto District School Board. We will be bringing dragonboat to grade 6, 7, and 8 students at the school, and other schools in Parkdale and surrounding communities. The SPC - TDSB initiative will culminate with a Dragonboat Fun Day at Sunnyside where kids will put their newly learned boat skills to the test. We will provide more details on this program in future Newsletters and everyone is encouraged to come out to the festival to cheer the kids on!
Half Day Youth Event Package
The Half Day (3 hours) Youth Event Package is designed for new youth dragonboaters. The package includes daytime use of boats, equipment and SPC facilities, one dedicated coach per boat, and of course fun-filled activities for the youth dragonboaters including beach volleyball. This is the ultimate package for elementary and secondary schools looking for an entertaining, thrilling, and unforgettable experience to give to their students!
